A user of laser cutting machine recirculating water chiller raised such a question a few days ago: is it OK to use oil as the cooling medium of recirculating water chiller? Well, the answer is NO!

Using oil as the cooling medium will lead to the clogging of the water pump rotor, oil stain in the internal waterway and the expansion of the silica gel tube. All these can prevent the recirculating water chiller from working normally. The correct cooling medium should be purified water or clean distilled water and users are suggested to change the water every 3 months to prevent clogging.
