S&A recommended CW-5300 chiller to cool the aluminum plate at 200℃ to 23℃ in 4 minutes

A Taiwanese customer Manager Huang wanted to buy a suitable water chiller. He preferred S&A CW-5000 chiller with a cooling capacity of 800W, with the cooling requirements as follows: 1. The temperature of the aluminum plate was approximately 200℃ that should be reduced to 23℃ in 4 minutes; and 2. When the temperature of circulating cooling water was 23℃, it was measured that the temperature of the cold plate was kept at 31℃.
It is learnt by referencing to the performance curve of S&A CW-5000 chiller that when the room temperature and the outlet water temperature are 20℃ and 20℃, the cooling capacity will be 627W. However, it is determined from the experience of S&A in providing compatible chillers that CW-5000 chiller cannot achieve cooling of the aluminum plate with the temperature of 200℃ to 23℃ in 4 minutes, while the CW-5300 chiller with a cooling capacity of 1,800W (when the room temperature and the outlet water temperature are 20℃ and 20℃, the cooling capacity will be 627W) will meet the cooling requirements of Manager Huang.

Dual temperature & dual pump series water chiller recommended by S&A to support 1,500W or higher Raycus laser

When visiting the plant of the laser customer Manager Ji, S&A found that Raycus fiber lasers were mainly used and supported by single temperature chillers. For example, 500W Raycus fiber laser used CW-6100 chiller with a cooling capacity of 4,200W; 700-800W Raycus fiber laser used CW-6200 chiller with a cooling capacity of 5,100W; and 1,500W Raycus fiber laser was supported by CW-6300 chiller with a cooling capacity of 8,500W.
In this regard, S&A recommended to Manager Ji that provision of dual temperature and dual pump types for 1,500W or higher fiber lasers would better protect the lasers. The 1,500W fiber laser, for example, is recommended to be provided with CW-6250EN dual temperature & dual pump chiller with a cooling capacity of 6,7500W.
PS: The water chillers of dual temperature and dual pump series are specially designed for fiber lasers. Such chillers have two separate temperature control systems that isolate the high temperature end and the low temperature end. The lower temperature end cools the fiber body, while the high temperature end cools QHB connection or lens.

The cooling of EFR 80-100W laser glass tube with S&A CW-3000 water chiller

On this visit to Ji’nan, S&A visited Manager Chen, a customer of fiber marking machine with EFR laser glass tube. The EFR laser tubes used in Manager Chen’s factory has the power between 80-100W and 130-150W to support S&A CW-3000 water chiller and CW-5200 water chiller with a cooling capacity of 1,400W.
During the visit, Manager Chen discussed with S&A the effect of water temperature on CO2 laser marking machine. Manager Chen said intermittent heat radiation and cooling had little effect on the marking results of CO2 laser marking machine. However, if refrigerating water chillers are used, the laser glass tube will have a longer service life.
