If the water tank temperature of S&A CW-5200 water chiller is too high, is it useful to add Freon?

A customer of S&A consults to S&A: “Hello, if the CW-5200 water chiller stops working due to over-high temperature of water tank, is it useful to add Freon?”

Here, S&A reminds all customers: over-high temperature of water tank of the water chiller is not necessarily caused by refrigerant leakage. The reasons for over-high temperature of water tank of the water chiller include the following points:

1. If the dust screen is blocked, it is only needed to clean the dust screen;

2. If the place where the water chiller is located is unventilated, it is only needed to ensure smooth air-in and air-out channels of the water chiller;

3. If the water chiller has dust deposition inside, it is only needed to clear the dust deposition inside the water chiller;

4. If the fan of the water chiller stops rotating, it is only needed to replace the fan;

5. If the starting capacitance of the compressor declines, it is only needed to replace the capacitor;

6. If the voltage of power supply for the water chiller is not stable, it is only needed to add a voltage regulator;

If the six possible reasons above are excluded, the reason may be refrigerant leakage of the water chiller. It is needed to check and fill up the point that has refrigerant leakage and to refill refrigerant.

Low-temperature pressure gauge at low level will lead to alarm of water chiller due to insufficient water flow

Customer: “Is it normal that the low-temperature pressure gauge is at a low level?”

(Low-temperature pressure gauge is exclusive to S&A dual-temperature dual-dump series of water chillers, which is used to test water pressure at low-temperature end.)

S&A Water Chiller: “Hello, if the low-temperature pressure gauge is at a low level, insufficient water flow will occur, which will lead to water flow alarm of the water chiller.”

Customer: “Then how to solve this problem?”

S&A Water Chiller: “The reason for the low level of low-temperature pressure gauge of water chiller can be divided into two kinds: firstly, the pressure gauge has faults; secondly, the water pump of the water chiller has faults.”

S&A Water Chiller: “Block the water outlet and inlet of the water chiller, and observe whether the water chiller can reach the maximum head. If it can reach the maximum head, then the pressure gauge doesn’t have faults, and the problem can be solved just by replacing the water pump of the water chiller; if the water chiller can’t reach the maximum head, then the press gauge possibly has faults. You can replace the pressure gauge, and observe whether the low-temperature gauge of the water chiller can recover to normal.”

In case S&A CW-6100 water chiller is shipped by air, how to discharge refrigerant?

Customer: “Hello, in case S&A CW-6100 series of water chiller is shipped by air, it is needed to discharge refrigerant, then how to discharge?”
