The cooling of two 80~100W CO2 laser tubes with S&A CW-5202 dual-inlet dual-outlet water chiller

Yesterday, a laser customer wanted to buy a CW-3000 water chiller. In following conversation, it was leaned that the customer found that his surrounding counterparts were using S&A chillers with good effect, so the customer directly purchased a CW-3000 water chiller to cool 80~100W CO2 laser tubes (two laser cutting machines of the customer’s factory needed to be cooled).

High ambient temperature results in that the intelligent temperature controller of S&A water chiller displays 30℃, and it is mistaken for failure of cooling

Yesterday, an Indian laser customer made a mistake and wasted a sum of maintenance fee.

When using the S&A CW-5000 water chiller to cool CO2 laser tubes, the customer found that the control panel of the chiller displayed 30℃, and he mistakenly assumed that the chiller couldn’t cool any longer. So he asked local maintenance personnel to supplement refrigerant, afterwards, he contacted S&A.

After we learned the whole thing, we finally found the reason why the water temperature of the chiller rose continuously.

The factory setting of S&A CW-5000 water chiller temperature controller is intelligent mode. Under intelligent mode, water temperature will change with ambient temperature (generally, water temperature is 2℃ higher than ambient temperature). So, when the customer’s workshop temperature exceeds 30℃, the water temperature of the water chiller will fluctuate around 30℃. At this point, it is only needed to turn the mode of the water chiller temperature controller to constant-temperature mode, so as to set water temperature manually, such as maintaining the temperature at 25℃, then the problem can be solved easily.

The cooling of 1500W fast-axial-flow laser tubes with S&A CW-7500 water chiller

At two or three O’clock in the morning, it is believed that most people are sleeping in warm bed, but there are some people who are on their way home. These people are very lovely, and they are----after-sales personnel of S&A.

I received a call from a laser customer of Shenzhen, who said that CW-7500 water chiller couldn’t work and needed to be repaired, and that this CW-7500 water chiller was for cooling 1500W fast-axial-flow CO2 laser tubes. According to the condition described by the customer, S&A determined that the chiller compressor had faults and needed to be replaced.

The customer was during a rush period, we couldn’t delay. And it only takes two hours to drive from Guangzhou to Shenzhen, so S&A determined to let after-sales personnel to directly drive a car to Shenzhen for repair through negotiation of multiple parties.

Compressor is the “heart” of water chiller. Involving welding technology, the procedures of replacing a compressor is complex, so a welder also went to site for repair in addition to after-sales personnel.

Compressor replacement was not completed until two o’clock in the morning. They detected the whole chiller and ensured that the chiller could work normally before they decided to leave for Guangzhou.

As the maintenance personnel repaired the chiller timely, the customer conducted normal production operation and completed order as scheduled, so the customer specially called S&A to express thanks!
