Holiday Protection Measures of S&A Chillers

An innegligible aspect of the chiller is the protection during the holidays. Please see the following detailed chiller protection measures edited by S&A.
1. Pre-holiday measures
(1) Be sure to completely discharge the cooling water inside the laser and chiller, for icing avoidance and any damage avoidance in a non-working state. Also, it is not recommended to store the anti-freezing liquid inside the equipment for a long time and it should be completely discharged, due to the corrosive components contained;
(2) Disconnect the equipment from the power source to prevent any possible accidents in the absence of guards.
2. Restart after the holiday
1. Inject a certain amount of cooling water into the chiller and reconnect the power supply;
2. In the case of the ambient temperature of 5℃or above where the equipment has been placed during the holidays, and no frozen ice, it’s OK to turn on the equipment;
3. In the case of the ambient temperature of below 5℃, a certain amount of cooling water should be added and placed for a certain period of time, or a heating equipment should be used to blow air into the internal pipe of the chiller for a certain period of time, and once confirm that there is no ice, it’s OK to turn on the equipment;
4. Note that slower water flow might occur and the water flow alarm might sound when the laser and chiller get started for the first time after water adding. If this happens, discharge the air inside the circulating water from the air vent of the pump, or restart the pump repeatedly per 10-20 seconds.
