What are the error codes of portable air cooled chiller CW-5200 which cools textile fabric laser cutting machine?

To protect the textile fabric laser cutting machine, portable air cooled chiller CW-5200 is designed with multiple alarm functions. When alarm occurs, the connection between the chiller and the machine will be disconnected automatically. At the same time, there will be beeping and error code displayed on the control panel. There are 5 error codes for laser cooling unit CW-5200.

E1 - ultrahigh room temperature;
E2 - ultrahigh water temperature;
E3 - ultralow water temperature;
E4 - room temperature sensor failure;
E5 - water temperature sensor failure

Laser micro-machining requires high precision water chiller

 Rapid development of laser manufacturing


Laser technique as a material processing tool is quite popular in industry sector and has great potential. By 2020, the domestic laser product market scale has already reached nearly 100 billion RMB, accounting for more than 1/3 share of the global market.

From laser marking leather, plastic bottle and button to laser metal cutting & welding, laser technique has been used in industries that are related to people’s daily life, including metal processing, electronics manufacturing, home appliance, automobile, battery, aerospace, shipbuilding, plastic processing, art craft, etc. Even so, laser manufacturing has been facing a bottleneck problem - its segment markets only include metal processing, electronics manufacturing, battery, product packaging, advertising and so on. The current laser industry needs to think about how to explore more segment markets and realize scale application. 

High-end application requires high precision

Since 2014, fiber laser cutting technique has been applied in large scale and gradually replacing traditional metal cutting and some CNC cutting. Fiber laser marking and welding techniques also witnesses a rapid growth. Nowadays, fiber laser processing has taken up more than 60% of the industrial laser application. This trend also promotes the demand of fiber laser, cooling device, processing head, optics and other core components. Generally speaking, laser manufacturing can be divided into laser macro-machining and laser micro-machining. Laser macro-machining refers to high power laser application and belongs to rough machining, including general metal processing, aerospace parts manufacturing, car body processing, advertising sign making and so on. These kinds of application requires not so high precision. Laser micro-machining, on the other hand, requires high precision processing and is often used in laser drilling/ micro-welding silicon wafer, glass, ceramics, PCB, thin film, etc. 

Limited to the high cost of the laser source and its parts, the market of laser micro-machining hasn’t been fully developed. Since 2016, domestic ultra-fast laser processing has begun scale applications in products like smart phones and the laser is used for fingerprint module, camera slide, OLED glass, internal antenna processing. The domestic ultra-fast laser industry is developing fast. By 2019, there have been more than 20 enterprises in the development and production of picosecond laser and femtosecond laser. Although high-end ultra-fast laser is still dominated by European countries, domestic ultra-fast lasers have already become quite stable. In the coming years, laser micro-machining will become the most potential area and high precision processing will become the standard of some of the industries. That means ultra-fast lasers will have more demand in PCB processing, photovoltaic cell PERC grooving, screen cutting and so on.

Working principle and categories of laser metal cutting

 Metal laser cutting is one of the most important applications of laser processing. With the development of fiber lasertechnique, metal laser cutting machine will gradually replace traditional metal cutting device.


Metal laser cutting is quite different from traditional metal cutting in working principle. Metal laser cutting indicates posting laser light beam to the surface of the metal part. Then the metal part will melt or evaporate so that cutting and engraving purpose can be fulfilled. Laser cutting has many advantages, such as high speed, material saving, low operation cost and smooth cutting/engraving edges. 

Based on the working principle, metal laser cutting can be categorized into 3 types:

1.Cutting through evaporation

This indicates using high energy and high density laser beam to heat up the metal . The metal part that absorbs the laser beam will evaporate in a short time and become vapor, leaving a cut on the metal surface. Since heat of evaporation is generally big, this kind of laser cutting requires laser beam of high power and high density

2.Cutting through melting 
With this kind of laser cutting, the metal material will melt down after absorbing the heat from the laser. It only needs the 1/10 energy of the first cutting type. It is mainly used to cut dysoxidizable or reactive metals, such as stainless steel, titanium, aluminum and its alloy. 

3.Oxygen cutting
It uses laser as the preheating source and use reactive gas like oxygen as the cutting air. Using this kind of laser cutting, the cutting speed is much faster than the cutting through evaporation and melting. Oxygen cutting is commonly used to cut oxidizable metal materials such as carbon steel, titanium steel and heat treatment steel.
