What Are the Determining Factors When Choosing a Water Chiller for My Fiber Laser Welder, Asked by a Thai Client

 To many new users of fiber laser welders, they may not know that there is a necessity to add a water chiller until the fiber laser welder breaks down because of overheating. Well, below are the determining factors for choosing a fiber laser chiller. 

1.Heat load of the fiber laser source of the fiber laser welder
The cooling capacity of a recirculating air cooled chiller is supposed to be bigger than the heat load of the fiber laser source of the fiber laser welder so that the cooling job can be done effectively;

2.Power of the fiber laser source of the fiber laser welder
For S&A recirculating air cooled chiller, the chiller model selection can be made by matching the power of the fiber laser source of the fiber laser welder. For example, for cooling 500W fiber laser, our fiber laser chiller CWFL-500 can do. 

3.Ambient temperature
Since the recirculating air cooled chiller also needs to dissipate its own heat, the ambient temperature is not supposed to be too high. Below 40 degree Celsius is the best ambient temperature condition. 

4.Facility space
This is also for good ventilation of the chiller and it should have certain distance between the obstacle and the air inlet/outlet of the chiller. Therefore, make sure the facility has enough space.
