Two laser techniques can be used in lithium battery production

Lithium battery is now everywhere in our daily life. From smart phone to new energy vehicles, it has become the major power source for them. And in the production of lithium battery, there are two kinds of laser techniques that are widely used.


Laser welding
The production of lithium battery involves a pole piece welding procedure which requires welding the battery pole piece and the current collector piece together. The anode material requires welding the aluminum sheet and the aluminum foil. And the cathode material requires welding the copper foil and the nickle sheet. Laser marking
The lithium battery production involves many other procedures, including raw material information, production process and technique, production batch, manufacturer, production date and so on. Traditional printing technique has the disadvantage of the marking being easy to fade away during transportation. Laser plastic welding will become the next trending application
